ir Jeffulot, the King, sits in his library reading an ancient script about good
vs. evil... The book was large and dusty, and had cracks in its large
leather bound cover... Stains and fading made the title un-readable. The
script that Jeffulot was reading was dated April 15, 1312.
"In this world, where evil has the only face we see, we spend our lives
running from death and searching for faces we'll not find. Eventually,
death finds us, and we stare into the only face we know while begging for
the mercy that is not ours..."
The King saves his place in the ancient text and procedes toward his chamber
Humming Carmina Burana and admiring his fine fine castle.
Once in his chamber, he sits at his desk and begins to write three identical
messages upon the land's finest paper... The messages were to be addressed
to the three mightiest warriors of all WadAsia, Kev Lord of Destruction, Bon
Bon John the Awful and the Paulster... The message read as follows...
"WadAsia is now mine... I have declared a bounty on each of your heads in
the amount of fifteen gold pieces... I plan to use each of your heads as
convenient back sacks for travel. You each have displayed the warrior
skills of a scared child and will never enjoy Kingship again... If you turn
yourself in willingly, I will see to it that you are killed swiftly and
without a bunch of pain... I hope to see each of you cowards soon and I
greatly look forward to my back sacks..."
The King then signed each of the notes and summoned a messenger to deliver
them. "Run my good fellow... run like the wind!" the King exclaimed as he
hurried the messenger out of his quarters...
The King then sat in a stool at his window and watched the town folk erect
the new beautiful statue of the mighty King Jeffulot.
